Lauren Halsey at Soho Warehouse in Los Angeles.

In a flourish of pink florals and flickering candlelight, CULTURED’s Editor-in-Chief Sarah Harrelson and artist Lauren Halsey teamed up with whiskey purveyor Crown Royal for an intimate rooftop dinner overlooking the glittering Los Angeles skyline.

Set against the vibrant energy of LA Art Week, guests gathered at Soho Warehouse, sipping perfectly foamed whisky sours, made with Crown Royal's signature Canadian blend. Amongst the eclectic crowd were artist Rodney McMillian, gallerist David Kordansky, and fashion designer Melody Ehsani, all joined in raising awareness for Halsey’s nonprofit, Summaeverythang Community Center. The organization is dedicated to empowering Angelenos through art and education, and has delivered over 1000 boxes of fresh produce from local farms to South Central residents. Now, it's also pursuing a permanent center in the bustling district, and accepting further funding for its food donation program.

As conversations lingered and toasts were raised, the night felt like more than just another art-world gathering. It was a moment to gather in shared optimism—a perfect prelude to a weekend packed with artistic inspiration.
