Last night, the Future Perfect and CULTURED gathered LA’s creative community for a night of art and solidarity at Goldwyn House to support Fire Station 41's efforts to raise funds alongside Grief and Hope. The night kicked off a two-week online benefit auction via Artsy—supporting both the artists impacted by January’s wildfires and the first responders who fought to protect them.

Among the crowd of art and design world staples one could spot Future Perfect founder and co-host David Alhadeff, architect and interior designer Andre Herrero, curator Nicolette Mishkan, design commentators Ethan Gaskill and Robert Gigliotti, and furniture designer Willett. The Future Perfect, a powerhouse in contemporary design since its founding in 2003, spearheaded the initiative with CULTURED as a partner, reinforcing its role as a bridge between art and the domestic space. The initiative also saw generous support from a dynamic mix of partners and sponsors, including Design Miami, Ghia, Icelandic Glacial, Perro Verde, Basic.Space, St. Thomas the Apostle, United Valet Parking, and Las Jaras WAVES—each bringing their own distinct energy to the cause.

Grief and Hope, a volunteer-run coalition of artists, gallery workers, and cultural organizers, was formed in direct response to the Los Angeles wildfires, providing essential aid to those who lost homes, studios, and bodies of work. A portion of this latest initiative's proceeds will go directly to Fire Station 41, first responders near Runyon Canyon who defended the Future Perfect’s gallery, amongst a swath of other structures. The online auction runs through March 5, offering ongoing support for those rebuilding their practices—creativity, much like the city itself, always finds a way forward.
