Nicole Hollis and Sarah Harrelson inside the home of Angela and Scott Crabill in San Francisco.

For the tenth anniversary of the FOG Art + Design fair, San Francisco is once again welcoming the industry's most esteemed talents and supporters into its bustling contemporary art scene.

Amid the whirlwind of gallery openings, boundary-pushing exhibitions, and satellite events, CULTURED and Design Miami brought together an enviable mix of art and design lovers for an evening of conversation. The intimate gathering, hosted at the home of Angela and Scott Crabill, celebrated Nicole Hollis’s contributions to design, the focus of her latest book, Artistry of Home. A living showcase of Hollis’s signature blend of art, craft, and custom furnishings, the abode provided the perfect backdrop for the fête.

Guests—such as gallerist and curator Jeffrey Deitch, SFMOMA Associate Curator of Architecture and Design Joseph Becker, and former director of Design Miami Rodman Primack—wandered through the Crabills’s backyard, where artist Rogan Gregory’s striking sculpture garden served as both a focal point and a metaphor for the harmony between art and nature. Chef John Wesley of San Francisco's Kiln provided a suite of delights to whet their culinary palates after a long day of art immersion. As the last glasses were raised and the city’s creative pulse carried on, one thing was clear: San Francisco knows how to put on a show.
