At the Rainbow Room—where the Daily Front Row gathered a constellation of innovators and industry leaders for the 12th annual Fashion Media Awards—the spotlight fell on CULTURED as Editor-in-Chief Sarah Harrelson accepted the honor of Magazine of the Year.

The Scene: A star-studded ceremony toasting to boundary-pushers shaping the future of fashion and media. Between CULTURED‘s award, supermodel Iman’s turn as the year’s Fashion Legend, and CULT100 honoree and designer Zac Posen’s Fashion Innovator honor, the space buzzed with one-night-only glamour outside the bustle of New York Fashion Week.

The Crowd: Other award winners included Oscar de la Renta and Monse designers Fernando Garcia and Laura Kim, musician MGK, and photographer Pamela Hanson, alongside presenters like CULT100 honoree and stylist Law Roach, actor Pete Davidson, and model Anok Yai.

Memorable Moment: Artist and former CULTURED cover star Amy Sherald took the stage to present Harrelson with Magazine of the Year. “Sarah’s greatest skill is in making connections among and between artists of all spheres, from film and fashion to food and design,” said Sherald. “In the process, she enables us to see ourselves in a new light and allows her audience to gain insight into both the challenges and the magic of the creative process.”

Cause for FOMO: It was a rare occasion for attendees to connect with a cross-section of tastemakers across disciplines, reminding present company (and those scrolling later) that creative success lies in collaboration. As Harrelson noted in her speech, “I know firsthand how meaningful it is to support emerging talent before they hit the mainstream. Everyone here has reached a level of enviable level of success, so use your power for good. Support the people who you believe in.”
