The affair set the tone for TIFF’s 50th anniversary with caviar, candid portraits, and conversations that couldn't be found on any official panel.

Presented in collaboration with the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), the Brunch offered a taste of what’s next in cinema—and what’s best in creative collaboration. Insiders and emerging industry leaders descended for an intimate morning meal and conversation. Oh, and a playful dash of caviar.

The Occasion: An inaugural TIFF fixture in the making, the Brunch, presented in collaboration with the festival, was conceived as a platform for rising voices and off-the-record chats.

The Locale: Matty Matheson’s buzzy downtown spot, Prime Seafood Palace, was transformed into an airy, golden-lit haven for the tight curation of attendees.

The Crowd: Co-chairs and film producers Jorey Worb and Laurel Thomson played host to filmmakers, producers, executives, and more tastemakers, WME agent Sara Malinow, producers Courtney Cunniff and Will Greenfield, actor Mary Neely, cinematographers Norm Li and Jeremy Cox, and directors Greg Kwedar and Clint Bentley were among the fray, with TIFF’s chief business and marketing officer, Jennifer Frees, welcoming the room.

The Entertainment: Music photography staple Anthony Pham transformed the event’s plethora of laughter and unexpected pairing into artful keepsakes in a sleek portrait studio.

Memorable Moment: Jennifer Frees’s announcement of TIFF’s “the Market,” a bold new stage for emerging storytellers to connect with industry leaders and elevate the trajectory of their projects, launching in 2026.
