On the terrace of the Thompson Dallas hotel, artists, philanthropists and art collectors shared a unique evening as they celebrated the opening of the Dallas Contemporary museum’s fall exhibitions, including four concurrent solo presentations by artists Peter Halley, Ilya and Emilia Kabakov, Shilpa Gupta and Renata Morales. Attendees were greeted to this special evening, presented by Saks, with champagne and custom cocktails by LALO Tequila.

As the sun set, guests were invited to sit for a candlelit, al fresco dinner with floral installations by Bottega de Flores’s Nolan Kiser and a custom menu by the Thompson Dallas’s chef de cuisine Jeramie Robison. The night ended with a unique performance by soul musician Abraham Alexander, who made a special detour from his fall tour with Leon Bridges just for the evening, creating great excitement.

Notable guests included Dallas Contemporary executive director Peter Doroshenko; Saks CEO Marc Metrick; longtime philanthropist Nancy C. Rogers; Dallas Contemporary deputy director Carolina Alvarez-Mathies; artists Peter Halley, Emilia Kabakov and Renata Morales; LALO Tequila cofounder David R. Carballido; and philanthropists and collectors, Preeta and Ashish Monga.
